CMAE: Centre for Community Mobilisation and Engagement

This Vertical is responsible for creating awareness regarding entrepreneurship development through community-based, structured and generic programmes. The centre has its Community Organisers placed at all district headquarters. Community Organisers conduct Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs) in collaboration with various district-level departments, educational institutions and various stakeholders at grassroots.


Objectives

To create, burnish and encourage mindsets for entrepreneurial pursuits and develop conducive environment where youth are inspired to become entrepreneurs.


Functions

  • To develop targeted and Structured Awareness Programs for different age groups in association with academic and technical institutions as well as grass root institutions.
  • To align and coordinate various media and PR efforts, driven by a systematic “Time-bound Communication Plan”.
  • To manage the publication and design of JKEDI Newsletter and various other multimedia supported and technology-driven awareness tools and publications.
  • To organize state-wide business/idea business plan competitions so as to attract youth interested in entrepreneurship and to develop and share their business ideas in the form of business ideas/plans.
  • To coordinate JKEDI’s online awareness creation program using diverse technology channels including web portal, social media, YouTube, blogging, etc.
